I'm still free because as bad as our world is, we don't throw poets in prison. It's funny how my mother was so religious and how this has led to her all but rejecting the only one of her boys who struggles to live according to the teachings of Christ. There has been a lot of talk about worship. Here's a relevant scripture: The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours. (Luke 4: 5,6,7) So if Jesus worshiped the devil, the devil would have made him the richest and most powerful king in the world. But Jesus rejected the offer. Jesus didn't want people to worship him. Jesus wanted to worship God. I don't want your worship. Save it for the next signed band with my songs. Whom do you suppose the last one worshiped to secure your worship? I just want peace. Don't expect to have very much peace in this world if you worship God. |
